Please note that the below descriptions are brief descriptions of cover and are not intended to replace or amend the information in the Key Facts, nor the limits, terms, restrictions and exclusions of the Policy Document.

Business Interruption – Additional Expenditure

Covers additional expenditure necessarily and reasonably incurred by you (including the cost of removal to and from temporary premises and incidental expenses, increase in rents, rates and taxes, salaries of additional staff and overtime payments) in order to prevent or minimise interruption of or interference with your business following loss or destruction of or damage to property used by you at your Premises and insured under this Policy.

Computers

Covers accidental physical loss of, destruction of or damage to computers at your Premises.

Contents and Office Equipment other than Computers

Covers accidental physical loss of, destruction of or damage to furniture, fixtures, fittings, and other general contents as well as machinery, plant and general office equipment (other than computers) at your Premises.

Documents, Manuscripts and Business Books

Covers accidental physical loss of, destruction of or damage to documents at your Premises together with the cost of clerical labour in replacing or restoring them.

Employees’ Personal Effects at your Business Premises

Covers accidental physical loss of, destruction of or damage to tools, clothing and pedal cycles belonging to employees, volunteers, trustees, directors and officers whilst at your Premises.

Employers’ Liability

Covers your statutory legal liability for damages and claimants’ costs in the event of injury to persons employed by you (including volunteers) arising out of and in the course of their employment.

Employment Practices Liability

Provides cover in connection with claims made during the policy period arising out of a contract of employment, any employment related discrimination and any breach of employment legislation.

Fidelity

Covers loss of money in the event of a dishonest or fraudulent act (other than by any director, officer or trustee) to obtain financial benefit.

Glass and Sanitary Fixtures & Fittings

Covers breakage of fixed glass, mirrors, sanitary fittings and fixed external signs at your Premises.

Goods in Transit

Covers the cost of replacing goods lost, destroyed or damaged within the Territorial Limits (including sea and air transits) whilst being conveyed by or temporarily housed in or on a vehicle or trailer owned or operated by you, or conveyed by or in the charge of a carrier, or conveyed by post, and whilst being loaded or unloaded.

Group Personal Accident

Covers agreed lump sum and/or weekly compensation to your employees (and volunteers if required) in the event that they are injured while working for the organisation.

Legal Expenses

Provides helpline support and covers legal expenses incurred in respect of claims arising from your business activity for employment disputes, health & safety appeals, criminal prosecution, property disputes, data protection defence of appeals, and personal injury.

Loss of Licence/Registration

Covers the reduction in value of your business following loss of licence/registration arising from circumstances beyond your control including costs and expenses involved in appeal.

Mobile Equipment (Laptops, Mobiles etc.)

Covers specified equipment whilst away from your Premises anywhere within the Territorial Limits.

Money and Personal Accident Assault

Covers loss of Money and the cost of repairs to safes and tills plus specified cover for injury to an Insured Person as a result of an assault whilst handling Money (including medical expenses and damage to clothing).

Products Liability

Covers legal liability for damages and claimants’ costs for accidental injury to persons or accidental damage to property caused by products (as defined in the Policy) sold, supplied, distributed, erected, repaired, or installed by you or by others on your behalf.

Professional Indemnity

Provides cover in connection with claims made during the policy period arising out of a wrongful act in the performance of or failure to perform professional or consulting or advisory or design services for others (whether or not a fee is charged).

Property at Exhibitions

Covers accidental physical loss of, destruction of or damage to your stand, furnishings and equipment at, or in transit to or from, an exhibition, conference, seminar, etc.

Protected Driver Excess and No Claims Bonus

Protects your employees and volunteers against the loss of no claims discount and payment of an excess under their personal motor insurance if they are involved in an accident whilst acting as a Voluntary Driver.

Public Liability

Covers legal liability for damages and claimants’ costs in respect of accidental injury to persons, accidental damage to property or accidental nuisance occurring in connection with your business.

Rent Payable

Covers accidental physical loss of, destruction of or damage to stock in trade and/or trade samples at your Premises.

Service Users’ Personal Effects at your Business Premises

Covers accidental physical loss of, destruction of or damage to tools, clothing and pedal cycles belonging to your service users whilst at your Premises.

Stock in Trade

Covers accidental physical loss of, destruction of or damage to stock in trade and/or trade samples at your Premises.

Tenants’ Improvements

Covers the cost of reinstating improvements made by you at your Premises following accidental physical loss, destruction or damage. If you are also insuring your building, then the value of these improvements should be included within your Buildings sum insured.

Terrorism

Covers damage caused by Acts of Terrorism, certified as such by the Government or Treasury.

Trustee Indemnity

Covers the organisation, its trustees, directors and officers, governors, committee members and volunteers against judicial or administrative proceeding for damages, as well as any investigation initiated into the organisation as a result of actual or alleged wrongful acts.

Works of Art

Covers accidental physical loss of, destruction of, or damage to art works at your Premises.
